Cork Media v Bishopstown Charity Game
Never mind the Champions League, The Premier League, The Heineken Cup or anything else for that matter. The BIG game this week takes place on Friday night, as the Cork Media Team take on a Bishopstown selection in Bishopstown's grounds, with a throw in time of 7.30. Members of the Cork Media, including Team Bench, trained last night in Bishopstown and were looking sharp, hungry and focussed. That was before training though. On the field it was a little... what's the phrase I'm looking for... without resorting to bad language, I'm going to go with haphazard. Yes, haphazard. However no doubt we'll give our all on Friday night (for the opening 5 minutes anyway), and win lose or draw it's all for a great cause. Dubbed "The Lord Mayor's Charity Game", Friday night is all about raising funds for the wonderful work that Cork Arc Cancer Support House do. Sean Óg Ó hAilpín is our réiteoir, and the Cork team will be managed by Cork stars Noel O'Leary and Bríd Stack. Click PLAY above to hear Lord Mayor Cllr. John Buttimer look ahead to the game with RedFM News reporter Fiona Donnelly
