The Bodhrán Bookills is comprised of 5th and 6th class boys in St. Joseph’s National School in the Mardyke, there are 50 members with 42 participating in the St Patrick’s day parade this year.
The Bodhrán Bookills have been in existence since the 1990s and have performed for Queen Elizabeth, King Charles, and the Queen Consort Camilla.
They all play the bodhrán and compose their own compositions.
