Hugh chats about some of the emergencies he responded to provide pre-hospital care, which is something he does on a voluntary basis.
They're currently hoping to buy a new ventilator to provide more advanced care.
Healthcare is something that Hugh has inherited from his Father who carried out similar work in the 70's.
There's a challenge being set called the 999 challenge, which is happening to raise funds for East Cork Rapid response.
This involves spending 9 minutes in an Ice bath to raise €9,000. Which is a grand for the average number of calls East Cork Rapid Response are responding to each month.
