Why we are obsessed with the new foundation from this budget AW16 collection

High street and budget brands are getting better and better with each season that passes, offering us trend collections and products that will sit happily in our make-up bags beside the other products we love. I find that Catrice are particularly good at keeping up with trends and textures and this season is no different; their AW16 series is full of goodies and all of them are under €8 to boot!

I’ll start with two of the key new products that will no doubt, fly off the shelves; the HD Liquid Coverage foundation (available in 4 shades, €7.80) and Matte 6Hr Lip Artist lip colours (€5.50). The foundation is the best I’ve seen from Catrice and they’ve even gone all out to create a luxury style bottle complete with pipette applicator too.

The formula is light, very fluid and blends like a dream, giving buildable coverage. The finish is matte, and while a lot of the more budget brands’ matte formulas can look a bit dry/cakey this one has a fresh finish. The Matte Lip Artist colours come in seven shade varieties and offer a creamy, opaque finish that is perfect for a statement lip this winter.
