1 In 5 Children In Ireland Are Living In Poverty
That's according to a new report from Social Justice Ireland
They say around 230 thousand children are living in families with incomes below the poverty line.
It's describing the scale of child poverty as "alarming" and is calling on the Government to make eliminating child poverty a top priority.
Social Justice Ireland CEO Dr. Sean Healy has criticised the lack of political will to bring about change:
