1 In 6 Staff Midwife Posts Are Left Unfilled
That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation
It says 7 per cent of funded posts in hospitals are empty, with 1,251 vacancies out of over 17 and a half thousand roles.
It's blaming the HSE's recruitment freeze as the main reason for unfilled jobs.
