RNLI team up with the GAA to renew the 'Float to Live' campaign
The loss of a family member to drowning is devastating...
That's according to RNLI and GAA ambassador Alan Cott from Ballycotton, who was speaking at a live demonstration rescue on the River Lee this morning.
The GAA and RNLI have teamed up to renew the 'Float to Live' campaign which encourages people to remain calm and float on their backs if they find themselves in difficulty while in the water.
The Campaign follows 10 drownings in the country over the last 16 days, the most recent was yesterday when a man drowned while swimming in the Shannon.
Speaking to RedFM News, RNLI and GAA ambassador Alan Cott says its vital that people heed the water safety message
