100 Irish Charities Work Together For Fundraising Challenge Today
They're asking people to collectively travel around the world in 24 hours
You can contribute to the 42,000km challenge by walking, running, swiming or cycling and logging onto aroundtheworld.ie
Executive Director of Mary's Meals Ireland, Patricia Friel, describes how it works:
"So when you go on to AroundTheWorld.ie, you will be asked to pledge the kilometres, you'll be asked to donate to one of your favourite charities of those 100 charities, and then really just get out there. But what we're also asking people to do is use the hashtag, #DoingItTogether and get on social media, and just get more people involved, because the 100 charities that have joined together around Ireland have had a tough time during COVID."
