120 Cork Projects Qualified For BT Young Scientist And Technology Exhibition 2021
The exhibition at the start of January will be the very first virtual contest.
The impact of the pandemic has been a driving force behind a large number of entries this year, with a quarter of projects exploring health and Covid-19.
Students have submitted projects investigating the effects of lockdown on different socio-economic groups, the effectiveness of various types of masks and the impact of hand sanitiser on skin.
550 teams from 213 schools and 29 counties will take part in the finals of the annual contest.
