1/4 of 3-year olds are obese
A study on growing up in Ireland has listed a number of factors affecting children due to the recession. The Growing up in Ireland report, which is being launched by the Children's Minister today, has found that a quarter of three-year olds are now either overweight or obese, with levels growing faster among those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The study also found that parent styles which are 'low in warmth' or 'high in hostility' are related to behavioural difficulties among Irish children.
