144 Arrested for Begging In Cork City Since The Start Of The Year
Gardaí are deploying additional resources to target suspected organised begging in the City
The Cork City Joint Policing Committee heard the activity appears to involve people who have been living locally for a time rather than an influx of people from abroad.
The Irish Examiner reports that Gardaí arrested 15 people in the city during a weekend-long operation in November last year
