14,700 ESB customers remain without power in Cork

ESB repair crews were back out at first light this morning to get thousands of customers across Cork back onto the network.. Over 14 and a half thousand customers in Bandon, Fermoy, Dunmanway and Cork City remain without power this morning following Wednesday's violent storm... Supply was restored to over 30,000 customers in Cork yesterday but the ESB is advising that customers in small isolated pockets of faults in West and North Cork maybe without supply over the weekend Speaking to Cork's RedFM in the past few minutes Mary O'Mahony of ESB Networks says extra resources have been drafted in to assist ESB repair crews in Cork as there are over 1400 faults yet to be repaired..
