150 At Protest Over Wilton Corridor Project

Wilton Road Residents were aiming to highlight what they claim is underhand tactics by City Hall.
Over 150 have turned to a demonstration this evening where Wilton Road Residents were aiming to highlight what they claim is underhand tactics by City Hall.
Homeowners say they're worried the Wilton Corridor Project will have a negative impact on their lives because of the plans to widen the road to 6 lanes
Theyve called on City Council to consult with them on the plans.
Residents who face losing up to 7 metres from their front gardens say plans to add two bus and cycle lanes will do nothing to solve traffic congestion due to pinch points at either end of the road.
Councillors are due to vote on the project on Monday.
Speaking to RedFM News, John Bowman from the Wilton Community Action Group says this evening's protest was very successful:
