1,500 Australians To Arrive In Cobh Today
1,500 Australians will arrive in Cobh this morning aboard the cruise ship Sea Princess to a true Irish 'Australia Day' welcome.
Australian Ambassador to Ireland, Richard Andrews will visit the town and greet the passengers and will receive a guided tour of St Colman's Cathedral, which celebrates the centenary of its dedication in August this year
Cobh Tourism will roll out the red carpet for passengers and visitors alike for 'Australia Day in Cobh' with entertainment at the town's waterfront Promenade including traditional music, Irish dancing and market stalls.
Cobh was recently named as one of the 25 most beautiful towns in Europe by Conde Nast.
