18% Of ED Patients At Cork University Hospital Waiting More Than 24 Hours To Be Admitted

That's one of the findings of a survey of patients at the hospital, which also found around a quarter of those said they waited more than 48 hours
According to HIQA'S National Patient Experience Survey, patient ratings of admission to CUH were slightly more negative than last year and significantly lower than the national average.
However patients were generally positive about their interactions with ED staff, with 27% saying they were admitted to a ward within the recommended 6 hours.
Speaking to RedFM News, Tracy O'Carroll from HIQA says 85% of patients said they had a positive experience at CUH:
