182 Prisoners Have Been Paid Jobseeker's Allowance In Error
They've received payments between May 2019 and October of this year
The Sunday Independent reports that it has cost the state over 42,000 euro in accidental payments.
People in prison aren't entitled to claim it, as the state is paying the costs from their incarceration.
The Department of Social Protection says it has engaged the process of trying to get it's money back, and has been successful in 81 cases.
