20 years since Detective Garda Jerry McCabe's death

Detective Garda Jerry McCabe's family and colleagues have held a ceremony to mark the exact moment he was killed 20 years ago today.
A wreath was laid in Adare this morning where the Detective was shot during a raid on a post office on the 7th of June 1996.
Four members of the IRA were convicted of the father of five's manslaughter.
This morning his widow Ann laid flowers at the site - while his daughter Stacey spoke to those gathered:
