21 year old woman pleads guilty to dangerous driving

A 21 year old woman has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the deaths of a mother and daughter in North Cork just days before Christmas.

Susan Gleeson of Leitrim in Kilworth pleaded guilty at the Circuit Criminal Court to dangerous driving causing the deaths of her neighbours, 58 year old Geraldine and 22 year old Louise Clancy in Kilworth on December 22nd last year..

Defence counsel, applied for an adjournment saying that he had already obtained a report from a counsellor but he was seeking a report from a psychiatrist while it would also allow for the preparation of a Victim Impact Statement.

Judge Sean O Donnabhain suggested that a report could be obtained from a GP instead and this was agreed so the case was adjourned until November 21st..

Louise Gleeson was remanded on continuing bail to appear in Court again on that date.
