210 Burglaries Were Reported In The Cork City Division Since The Start Of The Year

Senior Gardaí say recent break-ins, some of which are believed to be carried out by gangs from Dublin, have targeted cash and jewellery.
The figures follow a new European campaign which aims to tackle the number of burglaries by advising homeowners to secure their properties.
The Echo reports that the theft of tools, equipment and bikes increases by a third during the summer and that one in four burglars enter homes through an open door or window.
