23 Probationer Gardaí Have Been Assigned To Cork City
The probationers have been temporarily assigned to assist with the Christmas management plan.
The Gardaí will be deployed over the next few weeks to tackle thefts from shops, public order incidents and to help the flow of traffic in the city.
Members of the Traffic Corps will also be increasing the number of checkpoints targeting drink and drug driving as well as other offences.
Gardaí say people should be careful when taking money out of ATMs and report any suspicious incidents immediately
