A 27 year old man is to appear in court later today charged in connection with the fatal assault of a man in Mitchelstown on Friday night.
The 27 year old man, who is originally from Mayfield, but is currently living in Mitchelstown, was arrested at Willie Andies pub after the death of a 36 year old local man.
27 year old man will appear beforea special sitting of Mallow district court at half past 3 today.
Meanwhile the garda investigation into the fatal assault is continuing.
