300 UCC students stage over night sit-in
Over 300 UCC students staged a second sit-in at the college library and some lecture theatres last night in protest over opening hours at the library ahead of Christmas exams. The library says it's not possible at this stage due to staffing issues but the situation will be reviewed in January. This is the first year that exams are taking place at the end of the two semesters. Student Union President Mark Stanton is hoping to hold a second round of talks with university officials this morning in a bid to resolve the issue. AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News Mark says they've organised additional study facilities - but they're not adequate. Click the PLAY button above to hear.
