At least 31 people have been killed after a suspected terrorist attack at Istanbul's international airport last night.

The incident happened near security scanners at Ataturk airport.

The department of Foreign Affairs says it was not aware of any Irish people caught up in the attack.
Flights in and out of the airport are currently suspended.
