3500 people worldwide die in road collisions every day
That's according to Motorsport Ireland which is launching its #3500 lives campaign Leeside
It's part of a worldwide campaign to promote safe driving and has been backed by a number of celebrities including motorsport stars Nico Rosberg and Fernando Alonso.
187 people lost their lives on Irish roads last year and this year has seen a total of 68 so far.
The campaign encourages 10 golden rules to obey on the road and speaking to RedFM News CEO of Motor Sport Ireland Alex Sinclair says if one life is saved by the campaign it will be worth it
