4,000 Eircom Customers Remain Without Phone Service After Storms.
Nearly 4,000 Eircom customers in Cork have been without landline services since Storm Darwin struck the city and county last month. North and West Cork are among the worst hit with Eircom warning that the reapirs are slow due to the severity of the damage on the network. A large number of individual cable and pole replacement jobs are in progress across the city and county but the repair times in some places could take up to three weeks.
