4,000 Junior Cert Students Fail Higher Level History

7,000 Junior Certs across Cork received their results today


A history teacher is suggesting that the increased use of technology in learning could be having an effect on students grades. 

It's after four thousand Junior Cert students failed higher level history, which is around one in 10.

In total, 65 thousand pupils across the country received their results today with 7,000 of those Junior Certs based in Cork 

Kieran Roche teaches the subject at the Institute of Education in Dublin, he says it is hard to compete with the traditional ways of studying:
