There's been another boost on the jobs front in Cork.

50 new positions have been created as part of the new €77 million development plan at the Bon Secours Hospital in Cork.

Minister of State for Mental Health Jim Daly today turned the sod on the Northern Block Expansion project at Bon Secours Hospital Cork.

The development will provide for the introduction of new services and the expansion of existing services at the Hospital.
50 new jobs have been created as a result of the expansion as well as construction jobs.

It's the largest ever investment undertaken by the Bon Secours Health System and is a key part of the €150m investment by the Health System as part of the recently launched 2020 Plan in its 5 acute hospitals in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Tralee and Dublin as well as its Care Village in Cork.
