51 Year Old Man Appears At Bandon District Court On 42 Charges Including Sexual Assault And Rape
The man who cannot be named by order of the court, was transfered from Dublin Airport to Bandon Garda Station on Wednesday.
The man was extradited from the UK on foot of a European arrest warrant.
The charges are alleged to relate to a four year period from 2004 to 2008 and involve allegations of rape, defilement and sexual assault against two victims.
Bail was denied after Gardaí formally objected. The man will appear before Clonakilty District Court next Tuesday.
