6% of people say they would refuse Covid-19 vaccine

6% of people say they'd refuse a Covid-19 vaccine, according to a new survey.
Research by Ipsos/MRBI for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association also found public appetite for vaccines has risen to 89%.
The number of those who were unsure if they'll get a vaccine is down 14 points since January, to 4%.
Bernard Mallee, Director of Communications and Advocacy at IPHA says those who're unsure need to be encouraged to get vaccinated.
"I think it is important, not just those who won't get vaccinated, but also those who are unsure about vaccination.
"But it's also not just up to the Government, the Government has to work alongside the industry, with doctors with scientists with experts to get the facts on the table and to engage with people who are vaccine hesitant.
"Even though it's a small cohort, it's still a cohort."
Meanwhile egistration for a Covid-19 vaccine opens for people aged 38 today.
Its expected they will be given an appointment for a jab in the coming weeks.
