The Health Minister and the head of the HSE are to discuss the matter later this afternoon


61 people are waiting on trolleys at three Cork hospitals this morning a slight drop on yesterday's figures...

The largest number of people lying on trolleys in Cork as at CUH where 40 people are waiting on beds to become free... 
The issue will be up for discussion at a meeting between the Health Minister and the head of the HSE this afternoon.

The overcrowding at the A&E units in Cork is really starting to bite with patients waiting for hours to be admittted to hospital... 

Derry outlined the experience his partner had in the ED at the Mercy Hospital on Tuesday on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM 

His partner was sent to the Mercy by her GP as she was suffering with the flu and a chest infection and Derry says she spent over 13 hours waiting to be moved from a plastic chair to a trolley and only got a bed this morning
