62-Year-Old Michael Leonard Has Been Charged With The Murder Of Mary O'Keefe In Court This Morning

Leonard, originally from Killmallock, Limerick, appeared before a special sitting of Fermoy District Court
72-year-old Mary O'Keefe's body was discovered in a burning car in a forest in Doneraile on Thursday afternoon.
Michael Leonard was charged by Gardai with the murder of mother of three Mary O'Keefe late last night at Fermoy Garda Station.
He was arrested at around 4pm on Friday afternoon after he was discharged from Cork University Hospital, where he had been treated for hypothermia and burns to his face.
A post mortem examination has been carried out on the body of Mary O'Keefe, who was found in a badly damaged Dacia Duster car which was registered to the Michael Leonard.
Judge Marie Keane remanded him in custody following his court appearance this morning, to appear again by video link at Cork District Court on Friday.
