66 year old Cork grandmother has been jailed for 90 days for refusing to wear mask

Bandon District Court heard that Margaret Buttimer from The Cottage, St Fintan's Road, Bandon had denied two counts of breaching Covid-19 regulations
After convicting Ms Buttimer of the two offences, Judge James McNulty said Ms Buttimer had rights and entitlements but she also had duties and obligations as an Irish citizen.
He sentenced Ms Buttimer to 30 days in jail for the breach of Covid regulations on June 25th and 60 days consecutive for the breach on July 1st which happened when she was on bail for earlier offences.
