70 killed in explosion at US fertiliser plant

Police in Texas say there are several confirmed deaths - with fears for scores more - following a fire and explosion at a fertiliser plant in a town near Waco. More than 100 injured have been taken to hospital. Local reports are saying at least 70 have been killed. Buildings in the town of West are said to have been flattened - including a nursing home and apartment complex. An American football pitch has been opened up to act as a make-shift hospital for those injured. It's understood the fire is still burning and strong winds are fanning the flames.
