77 dead in Spanish train crash

No Irish people are believed to have been involved in the Spanish train crash which has left 77 dead. However, the Department of Foreign Affairs says it's awaiting details from the Spanish authorities who are currently preparing a list of all passengers and staff on board the train. Anybody concerned about a loved one can contact the Department of Foreign Affairs office in Dublin on 01-4082000. It's believed that the train was travelling too fast because it was behind schedule. Over 140 people were injured - 70 of them are in a critical condition.
