782 Cork Households Waiting Up To Two Years On Works Under Warmer Home Scheme

The Echo is reporting today that Cork County Council have asked the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan, for additional resources to be allocated, to reduce the waiting list and waiting times
The Better Energy Warmer Homes Scheme provides a range of energy-efficiency measures to low income households, who are vulnerable to energy poverty, free of charge.
Energy upgrades, such as insulation, heating systems and draft-proofing are included in the scheme.
So far, in communications with the council, Minister Eamon Ryan has made no commitment to providing additional resources for the scheme.
