That's including 10 fatalities in Cork
That's a six per cent increase on 2018.
84 fatal crashes have occurred in 2019, leading to the deaths of 52 drivers, 10 passengers, 15 pedestrians, 10 motorcyclists and 6 cyclists.
Superintendent Edmund Golden from the National Roads Policing Bureau is calling for all road users to be vigilant:
