A Cork Initiative Supporting Autism Friendly Shopping Evenings Is To Be Rolled Out Nationally
Up to 70 SuperValu stores across the country currently host the evenings to support the autism community, many of whom find shopping overwhelming due to the sights sounds and smells.
Store owners say feedback from parents of children with autism has been very positive and the supermaket has committed to rolling out the sensory evenings across the full network of stores.
Cormac Quish is the manager of Quish's SuperValu in Ballincollig.
He told RedFM News what happens in-store during the autism evenings
