A Decision On The Private Car Ban On Patrick Street Will Be Made Tomorrow Evening

The Lord Mayor will hold a public meeting at City Hall tomorrow at 6PM to provide an update on the controversial car ban.

It follows today's meeting between the Lord Mayor and the City Council's Chief Executive Ann Doherty to discuss calls by traders to scrap the ban.

Traders have reacted angrily to the ban between the hours of 3PM and 6:30PM with many saying they are having to cut staff hours and suspend delivery services as a result of a drop in footfall.

Speaking to RedFM News, Lord Mayor Cllr Tony Fitzgerald says a decision will be for the betterment of the City
