A home coming is to be held in Cobh this evening for the crew of Cork speedboat Thunderchild

The €1 million vessel built by Safehaven Marine set off from the coast of Cork yesterday on a voyage around the island of Ireland
The Thunderchild is due to arrive at Quays Bar in Cobh at 9pm this evening.
A new record has now been set as the 2,000km journey has never been carried out before in a speedboat.
Their journey is being tracked by Safe Trx which was developed by Curraheen based 8West Consulting and speaking to RedFM News Paul Ryan of the company says he expects the five crew members to arrive back in the next few hours.
