A man has died following a house fire on the northside of the city

Emergency services arrived at Kelleher's Building's in Dillons Cross just before 4:30 this morning
A man has died following a house fire at Dillons Cross in the early hours of the morning.
The alarm was raised just before 4:30 this morning.
Members of Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane fire departments arrived at the scene and battled the blaze until 7 o'clock this morning.
The body of a man was recovered from the scene and was taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem is expected to be carried out.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination - no one else was injured in the blaze.
