A man is being questioned by Gardaí after a young mother was stabbed to death in Dublin yesterday afternoon

24 year old Jennifer Poole was found with serious injuries at an apartment on Melville Drive, in the Meakstown area of Finglas, around two o'clock.
She was pronounced dead in hospital soon afterwards.
A man in his 20s was arrested and is being questioned at Finglas Garda station.
Local TD Paul McAuliffe says the young woman's death is an awful tragedy:
"You can imagine somebody in their 20s in the prime of their life, being cold shot in such a tragic way, and with all the hopes that they would have for the future for them and for their family. And now that's no more so, I think really really tragic and whatever we can do now to witnesses to come forward to try and ensure that justice is served here and that the food is discovered public records, all of those people in the area to do that."
