A Member Of An Garda Síochána Is Recovering Today Following A Collision On The Main Cork-Macroom Road

The incident occurred yesterday evening
It's understood the Garda was travelling from Macroom towards Lissarda in a squad car when he collided with a jeep and trailer on Four Mile Bridge.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the Garda had to be cut from the squad car before being taken to Cork University Hospital.
The driver of the jeep was treated for shock, but did not require hospital treatment.
4 units of the Cork City Fire Brigade attended the scene along with the National Ambulance Service.
