A 'Monumental' Motorway Linking Cork And Limerick Has Taken A Step Closer To Reality

Limerick based Senator Kieran O'Donnell has confirmed that an €8 million design and planning phase tender for the M20 motorway has been announced by Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
Lack of funding had been holding up the €850 million project for a number of years, however the motorway was included in the Ireland 2040 Plan, ending fears that the project would be further delayed.
The plans for the motorway will be presented to An Bord Pleanála once completed.
Speaking to RedFM News, Senator Kieran O'Donnell says the motorway will allow the region to provide a counterbalance to Dublin:
