A number of routes in Cork remain impassable this morning due to flooding

An orange level rainfall warning for the city and county expired last night, but large areas remain submerged after rivers burst their banks.
Properties escaped significant damage, but there were some reports of power outages.
Park Road and Bridge Street in Mallow are closed as is the bridge in Fermoy and the R587 between Dunmanway and Macroom.
The Carrigrohane Straight is closed since last night, while the Lee Road, Inniscarra road and Cloghroe road are also still closed.
Motorists are being encouraged to slow down and expect spot flooding on all routes.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork County Council's Director of Services Padraig Barrett says he hopes the weather will ease today and allow cews to continue with their clean up operation:
"I'm hoping that the rivers will start to go down, I'm hoping that it will be dry obviously and that will give us a chance to effect tidy up and clean up operations in areas where trees have been down and where there's debris on the road. But look, we are dependent on the weather."
Fire crews in the county were active yesterday and overnight.
One unit from Mallow were involved in a river rescue in the town at ten past 6 last evening.
The same crews dealt with flooded roads in Killavullen, while crews from Fermoy have been at Castlehyde since 3:30 this morning.
