A Pedestrian Has Been Seriously Injured Following A Crash In The South Of Cork

It happened in heavy fog between the Forge and Innishannon village

The man in his thirties has been taken to Cork University Hospital following the crash, which happened at 1.20am on the N71 near the Kevin O'Leary Roundabout. 

The driver of the car was uninjured. 

The road remains closed and local diversions are in place, while gardai carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
