A Person Has Died Following A Collision In Cork

The collision happened on the Midleton to Whitegate road just before 7am this morning
The person died after the car they were travelling in collided with a truck on the R630 just after 7am.
Two units of the fire service from Midleton, Gardaí and ambulance crews rushed to the scene of the collision, however the person was pronounced dead a short time later.
The road is closed at the Rostellan/Whitewell Cross and diversions are in place.
