Ulster and Connacht are to experience the worst of the conditions.
However Cork is also at risk of rain, sleet, snow, and islolated thunderstorms in some areas later today.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing tonight, with Met Eireann advising motorists to be extra vigilant when driving in icy conditions.
