A Windsurfer Is Safe After Going Missing Off The Kerry Coast During Storm Lorenzo

The alarm was raised at around 7:30pm last night at Stradbally Beach in West Kerry

The windsurfer was missing for around 40 minutes and ended up near another beach 7 kilometres away. 

Fenit RNLI launched its all-weather lifeboat with six crew members.

The Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 115 from Shannon was also tasked along with Dingle Coast Guard.

Valentia Coastguard says the UK national was found safe and well after making his own way ashore
