A Woman In Her 70s Who Died In A Car Crash In Buttevant On Friday Night Has Been Named Locally As Mary B. O'Sullivan
She had been walking on the R580 Kanturk/Buttevant road
She was struck by a car at around 7pm Friday evening.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The funeral mass of Mary B. O'Sullivan will take place on Tuesday at St Mary's Church, Buttevant.
Gardaí in Mallow are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road users who may have dash cam footage of the area from the time of the collision, to contact Gardaí in Mallow on 022 31450 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
