AA Calls For Extra Gardai In Cork To tackle Road Fatalities

The AA is calling for extra investment in Garda manpower in an effort to reduce road fatalities in Cork.
It follows the death of a female cyclist in her 60's - who has been named locally as Annette Carlos from Cobh - when she was involved in a collision with a tractor on the Carrigaline/Shanbally road at lunchtime yesterday.
This latest fatality brings to three the number of people who have died on Cork's roads over the past week.
The AA say there are now 500 fewer Gardai currently assigned to the Traffic Corps compared to 2009.
Speaking to RedFM News the AA's Conor Faughnan says these numbers must be increased:
